Why do I like to be during the preparation?

Getting ready photos before your wedding can capture some of the most love-filled and memorable moments of your day, such as candid moments with your girls, footage of the groomsmen, mom helping you get ready, a teary moment with dad, and much more. The time you spend getting ready for your wedding is often one of the most exciting, anticipation filled parts of the day. This is a beautiful part of the story.

We approach the preparations as a photojournalist, capturing candid moments as they unfold. We work mostly unvisible during this part of the day, blending in and taking candid shots, capturing you having hair and make up done, drinking champagne with your friends, getting into your suit. To shoot the getting ready of the bride and groom we generally arrive two hour before the ceremony.

During the preparations the bride’s makeup and hair will be perfect so this is a great time to have also some portraits taken, and ideally some shots of you with your dad, family and bridesmaids. I usually need to leave at least 20 minutes earlier than the bride to get to the ceremony venue and photograph guests arriving, the groom waiting and the bride’s arrival.
